Antonietta Breitenfeldt

About

Antonietta Breitenfeldt, M.Ed., is the founder and principal education consultant at BrightSpot Labs. She brings more than 25 years of experience as a classroom teacher, school administrator, district leader, professional learning specialist, and education consultant.

Her work is grounded in listening first. Antonietta takes time to understand each student’s strengths, interests, priorities, concerns, learning experiences, and goals before determining what support will be most useful. She believes students should have an active role in decisions about their education and works with families in a way that builds student ownership rather than simply directing the process.

Because Antonietta’s experience spans PreK through postsecondary planning, she brings a broader educational perspective to her work. She considers not only the immediate decision in front of a family, but also the student’s learning experiences, development, family context, and longer-term goals.

Whether helping a family think through a school decision or supporting a high school student through the college application process, her goal is to help students and families understand their options, ask better questions, and make thoughtful decisions that reflect who the student is and what matters to them.
